Swishy. Bloodline: Muggleborn Sexual Orientation/Marital Status: Heterosexual, Married to James Potter. Occupation: Auror at the Ministry of Magic Boggart: Her son and husband dead at her feet. Patronus: A Stag, which represents sensitivity, compassion, and kindness. Appearance: Lily has been described as very pretty since she was very young, and as she got older her looks matured into what most would consider beauty. She's on the taller side for females, standing at 5'10" and has a rather athletic build from years of training as an Auror. The most striking things about her are her stunning "emerald" eyes and her bright red hair. She's got a fair complexion with freckles down her arms and across her shoulders. Because she's muggleborn, Lily wears both muggle and wizarding fashions- but she has always enjoyed muggle clothing more. However, over the years she's acquired more sets of robes than anything else. PB:Julianne Moore History: Lily Marie Evans was born to Alison and Theodore Evans on January 30th, 1960. From the moment she was born, Alison and Theodore doted on her- she was the baby in the family having only one older sister. The Evan's were not overly wealthy- Theodore was a factory worker and Alison was a stay-at-home mother- but they lived comfortably in Northern England. Alison and Theodore gave their daughters whatever they wanted, and they never hurt for anything. Lily's childhood was quite blissful. She and her sister Petunia were best friends, and spent nearly all their time together. The only thing that set them apart was the knowledge that Lily could do things that Petunia didn't consider normal- jumping off swing sets and falling much too slowly to the ground, opening and closing the petals of flowers- but they rarely spoke of it, Lily didn't want to upset her best friend.  It changed one day when Lily met Severus Snape, a rather strange and intense neighborhood boy, at the playground. She liked him because he seemed to have the answer for everything which relieved her, but he also became her best friend. Petunia was not only jealous of losing her sister and best friend, but also that she didn't have the same abilities as Severus and Lily. It broke their relationship beyond repair when Lily got her Hogwarts letter, and confronted Petunia at the platform about reading her letter to Dumbledore. They were never as close again as they were in their youth. Lily excelled at Hogwarts, she was rather popular and was not only a star student in Potions and Charms, but she also became a Prefect in her fifth year. She was not fully prepared for the discrimination she would face for her bloodline, and although it hurt she put it towards her studies, learning to grow a thicker skin towards the taunting and teasing. She did however, gain a dislike of Sirius Black and James Potter- mostly because of their teasing Severus- but also because James had a monstrous crush on her and did extreme things to try to win her attention. One of Lily's greatest heartbreaks was watching her best friend become seduced with the power of the purebloods, and although they had many disagreements about his choice friends- she still stuck by him until the end of their fifth year when during a spat with James and Sirius he called her a mudblood. He begged her forgiveness, but she couldn't accept it. She couldn't believe he didn't think such nasty thoughts about her if he thought them about people with the same bloodline. Lily was named Head Girl in her last year at Hogwarts, and although she was excited she had some reservations about James Potter being Head Boy. However, they did spend a considerable amount of time together and she got to speak to him without the interruption of his friends, and when they were alone he didn't put on the front of qudditch star. They ended up dating a majority of the year, and he proposed to her after graduation. She accepted, and they were married in the Fall of 1978. Although some people say they got married too quickly, Lily never regretted it. After Graduation Lily began training as an Auror; but it took a backseat to her work with the Order of Phoenix. She and James both became full members of the Order, and were lucky enough to manage to defy the Dark Lord three times. But Lily's life was changed forever in the fall of 1979 when she became aware that there was a prophecy concerning the Dark Lord and the child she was carrying. Just as soon as the prophecy had been presented to them, Lily and James went into hiding in their cottage at Godric's Hollow. They also made a mistake that could've sealed their fate by trusting Peter Pettigrew to be their secret keeper. On October 31st, 1980 was what changed everything. Before taking Harry trick-or-treating she was contacted by her old friend Severus Snape and warned that the Dark Lord knew where she and her family were hiding. Instead of running, she and James made the decision to stand their ground and were supported by Albus Dumbledore and the Order of Phoenix. The Dark Lord was not met with just two parents defending their child-- he was met with the full force of the Order of Phoenix and destroyed in an ambush. The Potters could stop hiding, and the wizarding world was at peace again.  After wards, the Potters' lives went back to normalcy. When the Order of Phoenix broke up, Lily was finally able to finish her Auror training. She worked part-time, her main goal in life was to raise Harry and spend as much time as she could with the family she had nearly lost. On the side, Lily had also picked up a childhood love and went back to her piano training. When Harry was old enough to begin at Hogwarts-- a very bittersweet moment for her-- she returned to work full time at the Ministry of Magic. Now the Potters live in their home in Godric's Hollow, and have a blissfully quiet life. Personality: While Lily is a Gryffindor, she doesn't consider herself overly 'Brave'. Her bravery is spontaneous, she's a former auror and doesn't always think before acting. She's very brave in the fact that she's not afraid to stand up to people, and speak her mind, no matter the consequence. She doesn't go along with the masses, she'll do what she considers to be the 'right' thing even if it doesn't make her popular. Peer pressure isn't an issue to Lily, she has a good head and strong mind on her side. Lily is outspoken, and vivacious. She loves to laugh and have fun. She likes to try new things, and as an extrovert she doesn't have a hard time speaking with new people or taking charge of a situation. She likes to combine the best of the Muggle World and the Wizarding world-- and if asked she will adamantly declare that Muggles have the best music. She's proud of her bloodline, and doesn't hide that like some of other Muggle-borns might. The only time she's ever been offended by it was when her best childhood friend insulted her. She's never hidden the fact that she thinks what Voldemort and the Death Eater's did is wrong- and if it came to it she would re-enlist with the Order of Phoenix in a heart beat. Lily is loyal to her friends and family above everything else, and would lay down her life for them without a second thought. Lily is also very compassionate and sympathetic with people who might have had hard times in life, or are down-trodden. She's willing to lend a shoulder and ear to anyone, even if she doesn't necessarily care for them. This can sometimes make her easily manipulated, although she's normally a good judge of character straight from the start. While Lily tries to think more with her brain than her heart, sometimes it can take her in a direction that wasn't anticipated. Some would say she's a bit too easy to forgive and forget. Strengths and Weaknesses: Lily's Academic strengths are Charms and Potions; they are the things she is best at, closely followed by her combative magic. She is very level headed, and unphased by what people think of her when she speaks her mind. She's your typical Gryffindor, bravery comes in spades with her. She'd do anything for her loved ones, even if that meant she needed to lay down her own life. She can be easily manipulated; she has a large heart for people in trouble, the weak and the down trodden. She's very sensitive to be insulted by people she loves, and she can hold quite a grudge about certain things. Her temper can be as fiery as her hair. She's also quite terrible with plants--muggle or wizarding both-- and kills most of them she tries to grow. Skills: Lily has always been something of a book-worm, and she's able to memorize and retain knowledge quickly. Her strong points have always been Potions and Charms, and Defensive Magic. She's pretty good at reading people- whether they are ultimately evil and out to cause her harm, she can know this in a matter of moments after meeting people- she's only been wrong a few times. Friends and Enemies: Lily has an inner circle of friends: Remus Lupin and Sirius Black are her closest friends- she's known them since she was at Hogwarts as a student. She's friends with members of the Order of Phoenix, and some of the Auror's at the Ministry- as she picks up a few shifts a year to keep her skills sharp- such as Tonks and Kingsley. Her enemies are Death Eaters, and Blood supremacists. Habits\Quirks: Whenever Lily is agitated, she shakes her left leg. She hides under beds when she needs to think about something without being disturbed. She never wears her hair up, if she needs it out of her face she'll tie it back with a band.
